Equivalencies:

  • Contact hours, also called clock hours, are continuing education (CEU) hours 
  • One hour of instruction is equal to one continuing education hour/contact hour/clock hour
  • One semester-unit or credit is equal to 15 continuing education/contact hours/clock hours
  • One quarter-unit or credit is equal to 10 continuing education/contact hours/clock hours
  • A three semester-unit course is equivalent to a four and one half quarter-unit course
