CEU ProvidersBackgroundThere are a variety of CEU providers available, offering a wide range of courses and topics. The Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) is the California state agency that licenses and regulates mental health professionals. To apply your CEUs, they must be issued by BBS-approved CEU providers, and you must meet the requirements for maintaining a license in California. CE hours can be earned through a variety of activities, including attending workshops, taking online courses, teaching courses, or publishing articles. As of 2017, the BBS provides a list of some of the approved CEU providers—including CALPCC—but it is not an exhaustive list. For more information, see: CE Requirements CALPCC CE Policies Provider listThe following providers are either BBS-certified, automatically approved by the BBS as a postsecondary institution or a professional association or by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), a recognized Approval Agency. Approved providers are invited to advertise their courses: CALPCC does not endorse providers.
